MEET YOUR therapist

Nia Armstrong
Counsellor & Psychotherapist (MBACP)

Croeso/Welcome! My name is Nia and I’m a Relational Integrative Counsellor & Psychotherapist.

You might be seeking therapy to cope with the stressors of everyday life and relationships. Perhaps you’d like to talk to someone about painful experiences, whether that’s recently or in your past. Maybe you’re not sure what you want to talk about in therapy, but you’re aware that things are feeling difficult at the moment. Whatever it is that brings you to my page, I’m glad you’re here.

In our sessions, we will work collaboratively to build a trusting therapeutic relationship. This will be the foundation through which we can explore the challenges you’re facing and how they’re impacting you. I offer a safe, judgement-free space where your experiences will be validated. We can work toward understanding how you will move forward from here.

I draw on a variety of therapeutic models to suit your intentions for therapy. I have particular interests in Psychodynamic and Humanistic ways of working. I also offer outdoor working, which can be discussed further in a consultation.

Rwy’n cynnig sesiynau yn Gymraeg, ymgynghorwch ar y tudalen ‘contact’ (I offer sessions in Welsh, request a consultation under the contact tab).

BEGIN YOUR JOURNEY.

The name Hafan Therapy was inspired by my Welsh background. ‘Hafan’ translates to haven, which is what I intend my practice to be for clients. I work toward cultivating a safe space for you to explore your experiences. Life in the 21st century is fast-paced, Hafan Therapy is a space to take a pause from the noise.

Sessions are offered on a weekly or bi-weekly basis, lasting 50 minutes. Ideally, sessions will take place the same day and time on a weekly/bi-weekly basis. I’m happy to discuss your availability on a consultation call and I will try to be as flexible as I can.
